- Sinthesis organic-inorganic hybrid materials with controlled properties; hybrid (bio)materials, emulsions/microemulsions, nanocomposites hydrogels, encapsulation of (bio) active substances or dyes; obtaining hydrophobic coatings by sol-gel and layer-by-layer methods functionalization/tailoring of polymer, synthesis of hydrophobic hybrid coatings; hydrogel-clay nanocomposites; controlled drug delivery systems; interaction studies on polymer-surfactants systems; surfactant-free emulsion polymerization with/without inorganic nanoparticles.
- Methods and techniques of characterization of polymers and polymer composites including: dimensional analysis for nanoparticles in photonics correlation spectrometer (DLS); surface analysis for micro-and nanoparticles by calculating the Zeta potential (Zeta potential); IR spectrometry (FTIR); UV-VIS; thermomechanical analyses (TGA, DSC, DMA); X-ray Photoelectron Spectrometer (XPS); contact angle (CA), viscometry; surface tension (K100 Universal tensiometer); High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC); Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS); Gas Chromatography (GS); Gas Chromatography Gel-Mass Spectrometry(GC-MS); Permeation Chromatography (GPC); spinning drop tensiometer (SDT) and SEM microscopy analyses.
