THERMAL & THERMOMECHANICAL ANALYSIS SYSTEM:
Q600 Simultaneous DSC-TGA Instrument

Technical specifications:
- Temperature range: ambiental to 1,500°C
- Temperature calibration: up to 5 pts
- Temperature repeatability: ± 0.1°C, based on
metal standards
- Heating rates from (ambient to 1,000°C): 0.1 ÷ 100°C/min
in 0.01°C/min increments
- Calorimetric Precision/Accuracy: ± 2%, based on
metal standards
- Data collection rates: from 0.5 to 1000 sec/point
- Sample Capacity (max): 200 mg
- Automated: temperature calibration, weight calibration,
taring and recording of sample weight

      Sample Pans: platinum pans (40 and 110 µL), and ceramic cups (40 and 90 µL). The platinum cups are recommended for operation to 1,000°C and for their general inertness and ease of cleaning. The ceramic cups are advised for operation to 1,500°C, and for samples that react with platinum.

      The Q600 Simultaneous DSC-TGA delivers a true, quantitative DSC signal. This signal is measured as the difference between the sample and inert reference as both are subject to the same temperature and atmospheric environment. Furnace compatible with devices for evolved gas analysis such as TA Instruments Evolved Gas Analyzer, based on a quadrapole mass spectrometer Dual digital mass flow controllers provide for software control of horizontal purge gas flow rate (up to 1 liter/min.) and automated switching of purge gas. Flow rate is programmable in the software, and deliverable as a saved signal in the data file. Reactive gas inlet allows for reactive gases to be introduce to the sample without contamination of the balance or electronics. Data analysis provides the ability to plot weight-corrected (normalized) heat flow to insure accurate heat flow measurements during transitions which involve weight changes.

APPLICATIONS
- Improved DSC data;
- High sensitivity;
- Simultaneous DSC/TGA.
