Work Package 1(WP1):  Research analyses on new materials for water pollution treatment of coastal zones (from tourist and other small agriculture, industry objects). Formulation and verification of conceptual model for selected materials.

Task 1.1.  Research and study analyses on the conditions for the acrylonitrile and the vinyl monomer copolymerization for obtaining ultrafiltration membranes. It is envisaged to determine the best solvent, solution concentration and temperature for the obtaining of the membrane casting solutions containing the target template; to determine the appropriate conditions for membrane preparation by phase inversion; to provide study on the extraction process of the template from the membrane: solvent, temperature, etc.

      Task 1.4.1.  Investigation of pore structure and chemical composition of the zeolites from different deposits, by low temperature adsorption of nitrogen, etc.
      Task 1.4.2.  Selection, on the base of the obtained results, of suitable zeolites for further investigations. The research will be focused essentially on the investigations of the pore structure and of the specific surface area
      Task 1.4.3.  Determination of the adsorption capacity in static and dynamic conditions of the selected zeolites for inorganic and organic pollutants in exhaust waters

  •  Determination of the adsorption capacity and/or ion exchange capacity in static and dynamic conditions of the selected zeolites for inorganic and organic pollutants in exhaust waters.
