ABSTRACT:

The project: "New approaches for SiC and Si3N4 obtaining via polymer nanocomposites and their use for structural ceramics" aims to obtain products with high performance and quality parameters, according to market current requirements, through new, simplified methods. The procedures will use integrated technologies for industrial applications intending integration of knowledge about nanotechnologies and nanomaterials in production of materials for various applications. The project provides the obtaining of two advanced ceramics powders: silicon carbide and silicon nitride, by the valorization of insufficiently used mineral resources, such as serpentinite reserves. Also, the project aims the processing of new powders in high performance ceramic articles as engines parts and body and military vehicles armors.
